Inspired by legacy, powered by community
The E12 ATX Vision
Balanced between Waller Creek and Boggy Creek, Eureka envisions a 12th st corridor that supports community needs and engages in projects that reflect the history and legacy of East Austin.
The tangible
Drawing from the past and present culture, it’s important that any project in East Austin, reflects East Austin in both look and feel.
The intangible
While East Austin is a place on a map, it’s also a community with a unique spirit and heritage. Projects should work to create and reflect East Austin’s vibrant cultural life for residents and visitors alike.
The people
Drawing on its “city with a city” history, East Austin projects will promote areas for community members to live, work, and play. Increasing access to greenspace such as Boggy Creek also enhances community connectivity.
The places
Plans for physical spaces go beyond burying power lines and pouring sidewalks. Artist housing and restoring historic buildings for community use are important ways to build on and reflect the heritage of East Austin.
